Alice Faye Long – Obituary

Alice Faye Long, 76, passed away Christmas Day, 2017 at the Baptist Hospital in New Albany. She was born December 9, 1941 in Verona, the daughter of Ruel and Elizabeth Moore. Alice is remembered as a forthright and candid woman who worked hard and was a wonderful cook. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be 2 pm Thursday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Keith Garner and Bobby Nickels officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday evening and 1 pm to service time Thursday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Alice leaves behind 2 children, Lisa Long of Blue Springs and Jimmy Long of Verona; her sister, Linda Clifford of Guntown; 7 grandchildren, Keith Garner (Anna), Kristan Walker (John), Natalie Rinehart, Austin Bridges, Nikki Vandevander (Corey), Megan Griffin (Joe), and Audrey Morgan; 17 great-grandchildren; and her stepmother, Evelyn Moore of Verona

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 children, Kevin Long and Teresa Rinehart Morgan; and a grandson, Doug Long.

Pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Eli Smith, Alex Long, Clayton Rinehart, Joe Griffin, and John Walker.
