Alice “Faye” Kennett, 78, born December 08, 1937 to Houston and Lydia Hovater passed away Thursday, December 01, 2016. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. Monday, December 05, 2016 at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in chapel. Brother Scott Inman will be officiating service. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was one of Jehovah Witnesses. Faye was an avid Gardener and shared with her many friends letting them pick from her beloved garden. Family was everything to Alice and she made sure to cook her goodies for each of her children, and fix to their taste. She made two different batches of banana bread and other dishes so all were pleased.
Preceded in death by parents, Houston and Lydia Malone; brothers, Olen and Coleman; sisters, Opal, Lenise, Jacqueline, Addie, LeEllen, and Lurlie; Infant brother, and granddaughter, Kyla.
Survivors are husband, Henry Kennett of 60 wonderful years; sons, Brian Drake Kennett, Lawrance Kennett (Donna); daughters, Lennie Gamble, Stephanie Palmer (Mike); brothers, Amos and Robert; grandchildren, Alison, Ben, Brandi, Griffin, Ashley, Reuben, Lake, Reece, Chase, and Evan; 14 great grandchildren; host of loving family and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
A special thanks to the many friends who visited and brought food to the family. Faye will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
