Services will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Barry Armor officiating. Burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery , Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangments.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 25, 5:30–9:00 pm and on Sunday, August 26, 9:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN

Mr. Burgess departed this life on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 5 Months. He was born March 24, 1940 in Wayne County, the son of the late Asberry and Waymon Bratcher Burgess.
He was united in marriage to Linda Marie Ayers on March 22, 1964.
Mr. Burgess was a Auto Mechanical Diesel Instructor for 38 years , a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Donelson, Tennessee and served his country in the Untied States Navy from 1961–1971
He is survived by his wife Linda Marie (Ayers) Burgess ; sister; Frances Sherrill both of Antioch, TN;
