Alfred Lee Graves (Billy), age 85, a resident of Brownsville, TN, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN. Alfred Lee Graves (Billy) aka Freddie Lee Graves was born August 19, 1936, the oldest of fourteen children to Lorenza Graves Sr. and Emma Sue Graves. He married Guster B. (Bond) Graves on September 16, 1956, and to that union one child was born, Freddie Mae (Muffy/Queen) Lowery. He attended Whitefield Technical School where he earned a certificate as a plumber. Growing up he had many great talents without any formal training. He taught himself to play the harmonica, tap dance, sing, and the artistry of sculpting with wire. He had great visions of things he liked and would aspire to do. He leaves to mourn his passing, a son, Calvin Lee Graves. His sister’s, brothers-in-law: Maggie (Willie D.) Jones, Lorenza (Antionette) Graves, Levornia (Nell) Graves, Bertha (Graves) Abel, Lonnie D. Graves (Carolyn Murphy), Clora (Graves) Cunningham, Otis Dean (Christean) Graves, Alphonia Graves, and Cynthia Graves-Parker. He was preceded in death by his daughter, mother, father, and brother’s Eldridge (Duke) Graves Sr., Larry Graves, Alvester (Butch) Graves, Earl Thomas (Tom) Graves, He was blessed with five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The Graves family would like to thank everyone for their cards, phone calls, and support during these difficult times. There will be no repast. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
