Alfred Junior Tucker  Alfred Junior Tucker, 89, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his home. He was born January 6, 1934, in Itawamba County, to James Henry and Birdie Umfress Tucker. He was a Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was an Elder at the Tilden Church of Christ. He was a carpenter and worked at Dura Crates and Mid America Hardwood. He enjoyed gardening, yardwork, word search puzzles, and making kitchen potholders.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Minister Jeff Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary E. “Bet” Tucker; two sons, Freddy Tucker (Carol), and Phillip Tucker (Rhonda); sisters-in-law, Sue Mears, Ouida Cox (Arlin), and Brenda Collums; four grandchildren, Zackary Tucker, Courtney Prather (Nate), Caleb Tucker (Meredith), Nathan Tucker (Whittney); three great grandchildren, Braylen Tucker, Charleigh Tucker, Hannah Tucker, and Baby Prather due May 29; nieces, Carol Cantrell (Eddie), Paulette Barkley (Robert), John Paul Tucker, Jr. (Carol); other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Cratus Tucker, KIA-WWII, William “Bo” Tucker (Avis), and John Paul Tucker (Nadine); one nephew, Darrell Tucker; two nieces, Angula Gay Tucker and Bridgett Tucker Curtis; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be men of the Tilden Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN. 38105-9959.
