Alfred “Al” Meek Courington, age 86 of Jasper, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at his residence. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jasper and was a member of Gideons International. He graduated from Auburn University. He worked for Brad Ragan in Jasper, and retired from Goodyear where he was a district manager.
Graveside services will be Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sardis Cemetery on the Old Tuscaloosa Road. Lloyd Stilley will officiate.
Mr. Courington was preceded in death by his Father-William Meek Courington; Mother-Tempie Courington; Sons-Alan Courington and Timothy Courington; Brothers-J.B. Courington, Everett Courington, Richard Courington, Dewey Courington and Coleman Courington; Sisters-Jane Gibson Wilson and Mendy Smitherman.
He is survived by his Sisters-Martha Fulton and Betty Jean Patton; Brother-Jim Courington; Grandchildren-Jamie Courington, Candace Jones, Sabrina Walker and Phillip Courington; Great Grandchildren-Sydnee Courington, William Lane Walker, Latrent Penson, Paisley Walker and Landon Courington.
