Alexis Tierra White Profile PhotoAlexis Tierra White, of Hanceville, Alabama, passed away the morning of September 7, 2023, at the age of 23. Lexi was born on March 1, 2000, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Joshua Brett White and Jamie Kim May.

Lexi grew up in the small community of Holly Pond, Alabama, and was a member of the Holly Pond Broncos graduating class of 2018. She was a firecracker, and her sass and determination made up for her small stature. Lexi would tell you how it was, and she was fiercely protective of her family and those she loved. Those who had the honor of being loved by Lexi knew that she loved them with all that was in her. While Lexi’s love for her family was evident, she was as passionate about her career in law enforcement as she was about her people. At a young age, Lexi attended the first Youth Leadership Academy held by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and from that day forward, she knew the path God was calling her to follow. Following high school graduation, Lexi obtained a degree in Criminal Justice at Wallace State Community College and later began working as a dispatcher for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office. She knew she was called to help others, and serving as a dispatcher allowed her to do that. While much of Lexi’s life centered around her career, she did enjoy time with friends and family. She was a member of Pan Creek Baptist Church where she worshipped with her family. She enjoyed a day on the lake with friends and loved hiking, traveling, and bowling. Lexi enjoyed salon days and hair and nails were always a priority. Lexi also enjoyed a good car jam with her little sister or friends. She was an animal lover, and she adored her dog, Rosco P. Coltrane. While Lexi’s life was a mere twenty-three years, her spirit, determination, and passion made an impact on those who knew her. Lexi was truly extraordinary, and she will not soon be forgotten.

Lexi is preceded in death by her brother, Tarrant Jordon White; grandfathers, Warren May, and Joe Duke; great-grandparents, Don and Joyce Hill, Christine and Ralph Coppedge, Lavern May, and Aubrey and Anna Ree White.

She is survived by her father, Joshua Brett and Jennifer White; mother, Jamie Kim May and Wesley Cofield; brother, Weston Cofield; sisters, Emmy Reynolds, Kaitlyn Cofield, Kim and Zeph Welsh; grandparents, Teresa Kim Glenn, Travis and Linda White, Pam Reid, Patricia Duke, Judy Barker, Larry and Debbie Cofield; aunts and uncles, Lacey and Zach McGriff, Jesica and Jason Bynum, Janna and Presston West, Jeremy and Nandi Schultz, Shannon Schultz; and a host of family and friends.
