Graveside services for Alex Lynch, age 42 of Goodwater will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oak Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lynch passed away at his residence on Thursday September 14, 2023. He was born in Landstuhl, Germany came with his family back to United States in 1986 and grew up in Roanoke, Alabama. He was a former resident of Florida until joining the U. S. Army in Fort Benning, Georgia and served several years with the 82nd Air Borne. Alex had worked in Home construction, enjoyed cattle farming, gardening and was a member of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association.
He is survived by his father Phillip D. Lynch of Goodwater and his mother Brigitte Chavez of Roanoke, sister, Joyce Spears (Randy) of Roanoke and his brother, Curtis Platzey (Marilee) of Woodland, his special aunt, Inge Ferguson of Roanoke and 7 nieces and nephews, plus extended family and friends.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
