MORGAN COUNTY – On Friday, October 25 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued a statement concerning a Pursuit and Arrest that occurred earlier in the day:
“At approximately 7:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, Decatur Trooper Post received a lookout from the Kentucky State Police in reference to a runaway juvenile driving a stolen 2011 Chevrolet Cruze.
An ALEA Trooper spotted the vehicle on Interstate 65 south near the Limestone/Morgan County line around mile marker 343. When the Trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, the juvenile fled south on the interstate. The juvenile lost control of the vehicle and crashed at exit 325, which is Thompson Road. The juvenile fled on foot but was quickly apprehended without incident.
There were no injuries to the juvenile as a result of the crash or the arrest. The juvenile was turned over to the Morgan County Juvenile Office. Nothing further is available.”
