Alberta Christine “Chris” Pharris, 68, of Hazel Green, passed away on Friday.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she loved quilting and crocheting. She was a faithful member of Elkwood Holiness Church and was serious about her faith. She had experienced her spiritual birthday in January of 1972.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katelin Hofius and by her father, Will Allen Sealey.
Surviving family members include her husband of 50 years, Clark Daniel “Danny” Pharris; Her mother, Alberta “Bert” Sealey; Her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy & Bruce Hofius; Her son and daughter-in-law, David & Tatiana Pharris; Her son and daughter-in-law, Nick & Tiffany Pharris; Her grandchildren: Mercedes Bernabez, Jacob Hofius, Austin Pharris, Alexandra Cook, Liam Pharris, Khloe Pharris, Ethan Pharris, Emma Pharris and Xavier Sanchez; Her great-grandchildren: Adrianna Cook and Armanii Cook.
She is also survived by her brother, Danny (Sherry) Sealey; Her two sisters, Gwen (Ralph) Janes and Diana (Ron) Demoret
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 to 8pm at Elkwood Holiness Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the church with Bro. Royce Estes and Bro. Barry Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow the service and will be in Elkwood Cemetery.
