Albert Van Mikel, 78, a lifelong resident of Albertville passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Van loved God and his family. He had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and gardening. He enjoyed archery, hunting and fishing especially. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his sons: Neal (Beth) and Ray, grandson; Brandon, granddaughters; Heather Winebarger (Jake), Brittany Mikel and Holly Rooks (Cody) and great-grandchildren; Weston, Kyleigh and Eloise. He is also survived by his brother; Wayne Mikel (Nellie).
He is preceded in death by his loving wife; Linda, mother; Hazel Mikel, father; Olen Mikel and brother; Charles Pinkerton.
His funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Memory Hill Cemetery. Bro. Carey Sims will officiate his service. Pallbearers will be Brandon Mikel, Toby Mikel, Walter Mikel, Justin Mikel, Buddy Belvin and Matt Lackey. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
