Albert Lee ShadburnAlbert Lee “Al” Shadburn, 90, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at his residence. Albert was a strong-willed and high-spirited man. He was self-employed for over 50 years as a small engine repair man, and while lawn mowers were his specialty, he could fix just about anything. Throughout his lifetime, he also worked as a commercial fisherman, a carpenter, and a forestry worker. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting and collecting Civil War memorabilia. He liked antiquing, metal detecting, and going to auctions. Albert is survived by his children, Dianne Morgan, Keith Shadburn (Brenda), and Betty Harrison (Shorty); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Morgan, Calvin Morgan (Amy), Kristy Shadburn, Randall Shadburn (Miranda), Stephanie Falgout, Dwayne Morgan, Jr., and James Harrison; his great-grandchildren, Kayla Daniel (Rylan), Hannah Falgout, Madisyn Falgout, and Camdyn Morgan; his great-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Ryder Daniel; his stepchildren, Emma Rhodes (Tim), Amanda Largent (Tim), J.C. Johnson (Bridget), and Casey Johnson (Brandy); a special step-granddaughter, Crysal Largent; and a host of other loved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lola Shadburn and Nellie Lomenick; the mothers of his children, Shirley Wilson and Anna Mae Shadburn; his mother, Ruthie Mae Mathis; and his father, Fred Lee Shadburn. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, officiated by Bro. Tony Curtis and Brian Grissom. Interment will be in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jamie Nix, Tim Williamson, Tom Whitaker, Garrett Higginbottom, and Bobby Southward. Honorary pallbearers include Mitchell Osborn, Tyron Moss, Brad Malone, Keith Falgout, Buddy Bullard, Casey Johnson, J. C. Johnson, Tim Largent, Tim Rhodes, Gene Jourdan, Neil Davis, Gene Young, Ben Kitchens, Glen Miller, and Joe Johnson. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers of North Mississippi Health Services and Legacy Hospice for the excellent care they showed Mr. Albert. Memorials may be made in Albert’s honor the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and the Tristate Cross for Christ.
