A Funeral Mass for Albert J. Gregg will be Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wedowee with Father Gali Balaswamy officiating. Burial will follow at Lineville City Cemetery where Mr. Gregg will receive military honors.
Mr. Gregg was born in Randolph County, AL and lived in this area most of his life. He retired from the US Army and was a longtime and active member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children, Katherine Ann Shellnut of Lineville, Tom (Stacy) Gregg of Greenville, SC and Jeff (Leeann) Gregg of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden and Ashton; sisters, Mavis (Durwood) Rice of Lineville and Sherley Whaley of Lineville; several other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, Jenkins B. and Vera East Gregg and his wife, Dorothea Gregg.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February, 19, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lineville Senior Center at 371 Griffin Ave, Lineville, AL.
