Funeral service for Albert Eugene Ward, 86, of Decatur will be today, September 10, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bill Persons officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Ward, who died Sunday, September 8, 2013, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, was born August 10, 1927, in Alabama. He attended Moss Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Moss Ward; one son, Mark Ward (Jean) of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Debra Bryant (Mike) of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
