Albert "Boo" CrittendenAlbert “Boo” Crittenden, age 81, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
The visitation will be Friday, December 06, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, Alabama. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Johnny Smith, who is officiating the service. A graveside ceremony will be at the burial site at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 06, 2024, at Rock Primitive Church’s Cemetery in Florence.
The pallbearers will be Trenton Hovater, John Landrum, Freddie Pounders, and Doug Pounders.
Albert was born in Florence, Alabama on December 13, 1942. At the age of 46 he was admitted to Russellville Health Care, which is now Arabella Health & Wellness of Russellville and lived there until his death. He had many friends while he was there. Albert had the biggest heart, and he loved everyone. He loved BINGO and always attended the activities when he was able to attend. He loved listening to music and different songs and would sing along. Believe it or not, he loved the song Elvira, “My heart’s on fire for Elvira”. He was a special blessing to all that knew him. He also went to Sarah Dinsmore Center, ARC of Franklin County for several years, in which he loved attending there, and loved everyone there also.
He is survived by his father, Edward Walker; brother, Maurice (Beth) Walker; nieces & nephews, Charena Holmes, Shauntel Beasley, Kaci (Kelly) Langums, Kevin Beasley, Maurice Walker, Jr., Aaron Linthieum, Karice Walker; and 11 great-nieces & nephews. His family at Russellville Health Care / Arabella and special friends, Brenda Hovater and Zachery Harts.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Walker, brother, Bill Beasley; sister, Yvonne Beasley; Auntie Corinne (Charlie) Ingram; grandmother, Pearl Grant (Naomi’s mother), grandfather, Nelson (Sue Ann) Crittenden; Aunt Willa Dean; nephew, Leland Beasley; and several great-nieces & nephews.
