Albert “Blue” Eugene Newsom, Sr., age 52, of Florence, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013. Visitation will be Monday, August 12, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home with services to follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Wade Webster officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Albert is survived by his wife, Linda Sanderson Newsom Daughter, Lorinda Bevis and husband, Larry; son, Albert Eugene Newsome, Jr. and wife, Jennifer; sisters, Sandra Moore and Brenda Walker; grandchildren Evan Balentine and Jaxon Cornelius; several nieces and nephews; special aunt, Sybil Barton and very special friend, Tony Holden and wife Paula. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother. Mr. Newsom was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a fisherman, loving husband, loved being a granddaddy, and loved spending time with his grandsons, wife and friends. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
