Alavene Nail Goss, age 89, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 13th, 2015, at Generations of Vernon, in Vernon, Alabama.
Ms. Goss’s body was cremated, and there will not be no services.
Alavene was born April 26th, 1926, in Plant City, Florida, to the late Warren E. and Mary E. Fletcher Nail. She loved fishing and sewing, and most of all, she took care of her family and her home. Alavene was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Goss, Bushnell, FL.; daughter, Tina (Dempsey) Hatcher, Vernon, AL.; grandchildren, Brad Goss, Becky (Jed) Jose, Reanna Goss, Shelby Goss, Keely Goss, Tisha (Bill) Pennington, Misti (Brett) Gentle, and Gavin (Lydia) Hatcher; great-grandchildren; Jordan Pennington, Denver Gentle, Kennady Gentle, Lily Hatcher, and Sam Hatcher; brother, Keith (Darlene) Nail, Plant City, FL.; and 1 sister, Olene Gibbs, Franklin, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren E. and Mary E. Fletcher Nail; her husband, Wilson Clifford Goss Jr.; 1 daughter, Deborah Haraburda; 2 brothers, Hollis Nail, and Buddy Nail; and 1 sister, Nelda Woodard.
