Alan J. Hosier, 80, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. A native of Birmingham, Alan was a graduate of Marion Military Institute and received his BA degree from Samford University. He received a master’s degree from the University of Alabama.
Alan was an instructor and coach at Marion and Jeff State Junior College. He was a 12- year veteran as a special agent with the FBI. He served as a special agent with the office of Inspector General, housed at NASA, until retirement in 1989.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Brenda Vinson Hosier; sons, Dr. Keehn Vinson Hosier (Jessica) and Jeremy Jay Hosier (Dr. Julie Hosier); grandchildren, Haley, Hamilton, Evan and William Hosier; and siblings, Leona Hand and Mark Hosier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ann Hosier, and brother, Charles Hosier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice Care or Huntsville Fire and Rescue.
