Alan G. Melicks Sr. – Obituary

Alan G. Melicks Sr., 67, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Wednesday, July 23, at 2:05 a.m. at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with services to begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Franklin Melicks, and mother, Marie Varagant Melick.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marceil Self Melicks;

sons, Alan G. (Landis), Frank (Frances), Chris (Selena), and Derrick (Hope);

grandchildren, Lilly, Morgan, Blake, Katie, Laurie, Kenton, Annnaka, Ainsley, and J.C.; and

sister, Ethel Jackson.
