Alan Dean Gibson, age 56 of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in his childhood home.
Alan was born on June 15, 1966 in Jackson, the son of Harold Dean and Janie Gibson. Alan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a great love for music, cars, and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Rozella Gibson and Hoyle and Maybelle Latham.
Alan is survived by his parents Harold Dean and Janie Gibson of Jackson, TN, his daughter Tanya Maness (and her husband Brad, of Jackson, TN), his step-daughter Jeannie Renfroe (and her husband Jared, of Arlington, TN) and his two grandchildren, Tessa Maness and Cooper Renfroe. He is also survived by his brother Russell Gibson (and his wife Patricia and their children of Medina, TN).
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 4-7pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons and again Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10-11am. The funeral service will follow at 11am with Bro. Manning Garrett of East Laurel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the East Laurel Cemetery.
