Alan Barnes was born September 26, 1964 in Savannah, TN, the son of the late Samuel (Gib) Gilbert Barnes and Bonnie Ruth Horton Barnes. He was a member of the Meeks Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee.
One couldn’t help but be moved by Alan’s deep love for music. It was a passion that resonated with his soul and brought him immeasurable happiness. Not only did he appreciate the melodies that filled his days, but he also expressed himself through writing poems and songs. These heartfelt compositions were a testament to his creative spirit.
Alan’s love for craftsmanship extended beyond his musical pursuits. He dedicated himself to the artistry of jewelry-making, leaving behind a legacy of beauty and creativity.
Mr. Barnes departed this life on September 9, 2023 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 11 Months, 14 Days.
He is survived by two sisters, Dot King of Adamsville, TN, Lisa Watson and husband David of Cumming, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Jarrett.
