TUSCUMBIA-The Alabama Music Hall of Fame would like to announce its official unveiling of its “Start Player” exhibit. The Star Player exhibit is coming back after its brief hiatus that took place during COVID.

The Star Player category was developed years ago to showcase up and coming musical talent from Sweet Home Alabama. On Tuesday, January 3rd, TRISTEN GRESSETT from Pell City, Alabama will be with us in the museum and will be the first to be featured in our Start Player exhibit.

Tristen was recently featured on the 20th season of American Idol. Tristen auditioned in Nashville. He sang “Piano Man” by Billy Joel and was voted a unanimous “YES” to send him to Hollywood. Tristen went on to be named in the Top 11, making it all the way to #6 before elimination.

Tristen Gressett also known as “The Poet”, started playing guitar at the age of 14 years old. He recently moved to LA to further his career in the music industry. Join us on Tuesday, January 3rd at 11am at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, Alabama to meet Tristen. He will play some of his favorite songs and let us in on what he is doing down along with what and when to expect to see him on the big screen again. Tristen’s exhibit is complete with some of his musical instruments, awards, photography and framed Golden Ticket received on American Idol.
