HUNTSVILLE– The Dean’s Speaker Series is an opportunity for the greater Huntsville area to assemble on “The Hill” to hear exciting
discussions on critical issues. Speakers range from leaders in industry, academia, and government, to students and faculty. Alabama A&M University invites you to be a part of something special.
The event will take place on January 30, 2014 at 12:30 pm at Arthur L. Bond Hall Auditorium/Room 233 at Alabama A&M University.
The Dean’s Speaker Series for 2014 will kick off Delmonize “Del” Smith, Ph.D.as the keynote speaker. His presentation will be “Converting Technical Knowledge into a Successful Business Enterprise”. Dr. Delmonize Smith has extensive management and leadership experience in industries such as healthcare, IT, education and government. he has served in numerous roles throughout his career, including IT analyst in the U.S. Army, consultant for Fortune 500 companies, business professor, and serial entrepreneur.
The CETPS Flight Team will have a presentation on what they are doing with NASA and microgravity conditions. Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) was one of 14 minority serving institutions selected to partake in NASA’s Microgravity Research Flight Program on November 8-15, 2013, in Houston Texas. NASA has selected undergraduate student teams from minority serving institutions to test science experiments under microgravity conditions. The program is a collaborative effort between NASA’s Minority University Research and Eduction Program (MUREP) and the Reduced Gravity Education Flight Program.
