A Celebration of Life Service for Agnes Shadburn, 92 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, December 6, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens. Bro. Jack Bennett and Bro. Jon Haimes will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2024 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home- East. Mrs. Shadburn passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Tishomingo Manor. She was born August 8, 1932 in Armorel, Arkansas to Sidney Hughes and Cora Jane Grimsley Hughes. She was a member of Glendale Baptist Church and managed the cafeteria at Glendale Elementary for the Alcorn County School System for many years. She enjoyed watching all sports, especially Braves baseball, cooking and working in her flower gardens. She loved going to church. Agnes is survived by her sons, Junior Shadburn (Tammy) and Joe Shadburn; her daughter, Judy Carroll Jeter (Rodney); five grandchildren, Sidney Shadburn, Summer Shadburn, Heather Blackburn (Billy), Morgan Hannigan (Thomas) and Jay Shadburn (Nikki); three great grandchildren, Nolie Baulch-Shadburn, Ellie Shadburn and Noah Shadburn; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Winfred Ely Shadburn; her father, Sidney Hughes; her mother, Cora Jane Grimsley Hughes; her brothers, Raymond Hughes, R. B. Hughes, Henry Anthony and Lotus Anthony and her sisters, Gladys Burcham, Shirley Clayton, Jane Mask and Ruth Anthony. Pallbearers will be Thomas Hannigan, Jay Shadburn and Noah Shadburn. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Agnes Shadburn.
