  Agnes Skinner Profile PhotoAgnes Annette Skinner passed peaceful at the age of 88 years on May 21, 2024.

Born April 19, 1936, in Giles County to the late Annie Mae Green Workman and Claude Workman; raised by her grandmother Annie (Mama) Nichols. Agnes married Jim “Frank” Skinner Sr. on April 18,1955 in Iuka Mississippi. They celebrated 60 years together.

She loved collecting items from the flea markets. She loved to read, do jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and sudoku puzzles. She loved to cook meals for people, Thanksgiving, and a Christmas breakfast. She loved to do special Christmas stockings for all the grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ, dedicating years to Graymere, Greenfield Bend and Arkland.

The family will visit with friends on Friday, May 24, 2024 at  Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The service for Agnes will be Friday, May 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia Tennessee with Bro. Randy Baxter officiating.   Burial will follow at Polk Memorial.

Agnes is survived by daughter Deborah (Comer) Brewer of Mt. Pleasant TN, son Jim Frank (Cindy) Skinner Jr of Cincinnati OH. Grandchildren Jon(Liz) Anderson, Amanda Robinson, Bryant (Melissa) Brewer, Jon (Mary Ann) Cole, Bobby Macke, and Aaron (Jami) Bever. Great-grandchildren Melanie and Mallory Brewer, Marcus Cole, Eliza Joy, Emerson and Everett Bever. Siblings Martha (Ray) Bassham, Ann Workman, Johnny Workman, Sue Davis, and Jan Moody.

Agnes is preceded in death by her husband Frank, grandson Daniel Lee Skinner, brothers Tommy Wayne Workman, Ray Workman, JC Workman, Joe Lee Workman, Harry Truman Workman, and her sister Rita Fay Young.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
