PINSON-After a full week the Chester County Sheriff reports that search crews have discovered some evidence linked to missing 2 year-old, Noah Chamberlin. For the first time after seven days of search they have discovered a lead or leads and are encouraged that Noah is still in the woods.
Madison County Sheriff John Mehr, who has assisted in the search for Noah since January 14 when Noah was first reported missing, said that evidence search teams have found led law enforcement to believe the toddler is still in the woods. Mehr would not comment on what leads or evidence had been found.
Weaver said volunteers from across the country have joined in the effort to find Noah, and those volunteers and all they have given to the search are appreciated by all the agencies involved.
According to authorities the ongoing search operations are still expanding, including more than 1,000 acres of property. About 100 to 200 acres were added to the search area Wednesday.
Authorities believe Noah is still somewhere out there possibly in a ravine or sinkhole or cave. They still call this a “search and rescue” operation. And investigators say there is no end in sight.
