TUSCUMBIA – Several hundred people were in attendance at The Willie Green Recreational Facility last Saturday. It was the 13th Annual North Alabama African Heritage Festival, featuring arts, crafts, and expertly prepared food.
Children and adults both learned lessons in history and culture, which were designed to enrich and enlighten. Stage entertainment lasted well into the evening, and included The POZA African Drumming and Dance Troupe, The Muscle Shoals Twirlers, dancer Dominic Phillips, The UHURU Dancers of Atlanta, and blues band Mojo Risin’, as well as numerous other performers.
