Adriana “Momma Rauh” Masoni Rauh – Obituary

Adriana “Momma Rauh” Masoni Rauh, 90, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday while surrounded by her devoted family. She was a survivor of World War II in Italy. Met and married her husband George A. Rauh; her war hero, while he was serving in the U.S. Army. She was a dedicated lifetime member of the Methodist church in Florence, Italy and longtime member of the Latham United Methodist Church in Huntsville. Adriana was a loyal servant of the Lord and was known to meet any needs of others. She was an honorary member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Huntsville chapter. Affectionately known as “Momma Rauh” She was a daycare provider to numerous families in the Huntsville area loving many of “her children” into adulthood. Preceded in death by her parents and five sibilings.

Survivors include her son, George L. Rauh (Lavon) of Huntsville; daughters, Joyce Tracy of Mt. Home, Idaho, Shirley Rauh and Sharon Rauh both of Huntsville; grandsons, Damon Rauh of Japan, Zachary Perry of Huntsville, Gianluca Simmonds of Birmingham, Charles Pickering IV of Idaho, and David Pickering of Idaho; granddaughters, Lena Rauh of Huntsville, and Sonia Arciniega of Idaho; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and her sister, Anna Maria and other loving family members in Italy.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday at Latham United Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Hughie Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery.
