Funeral Services for Mrs. Addie “Mae” McCormick, age 85 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jason Messer officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Christian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mae passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 in Anniston. She was an Alabama native and lived in Clay County all of her adult life. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Mae loved to cook and to do puzzles. Mae was devoted to the Lord and her church.
She was survived by her daughter, Patricia Chaddrick of Lineville; two sons, Leonard Wayne McCormick and wife Connie of Lineville and Douglas Edward McCormick of Lineville; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Garfield McCormick; parents, Elbert and Pearlie McCormick; sisters, Laura Ruth Carr and husband Earl and Norma Jean Archer; brothers, Leander Archer and Leon Archer and wife Francis.
Active Pallbearers will be Dylan Chaddrick, Dylan Christy, Elijah Messer, Marty Jones, Larry Archer and Nicholas Floyd.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 until 8:00 P.M.
