Addie Lorene Gifford, age 81, of Florence, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013.
A private service for immediate family was held.
Mrs. Gifford was a member of the Florence Boulevard Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Hardwick Gifford, and parents, Frank and Mamie Walker.
Glen and Addie Gifford were married for approximately 50 years prior to his death in 1998. They owned and operated Gifford’s Upholstery for 30 years. Mrs. Gifford enjoyed her family, antiquing and yard sales.
Survivors include her children, Howard Gifford and wife, Diane, Glenda Burchell and husband, Bill, Libby Carpenter and husband, Floyd, and Mary McIntyre and husband, David, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Daugherty and Dr. Dorene Morris and Hospice of the Tennessee Valley for the care they provided. Special thanks to Meredith, Jeff, Sherry, Vikki and John Davis for your love and caring. Glenda May, you are an angel for all you did for mother.
