Adam Walters, age 61, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. He was a native of Lauderdale County, AL, retired from E. A. Cox Middle School where he was an art teacher, and a member of Calvary Hill Church of God. He was a freelance comic book artist, who enjoyed collecting comic books and listening to music.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melinda Cox Walters; one daughter, Aubrie Walters; his parents, Willie L. and Jackie Shackelford Walters; one brother, Paul C. Walters (Malinda); one niece, Jaclyn Walters Crane (Ray), all of Lawrenceburg, TN; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 01, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, October 02, 2023, with Charles Fritts and Don Goodrum officiating. Interment will follow at Fullers Chapel Cemetery in Leoma, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation Army Angel Tree or for cancer research.
