Adam Harley England, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024. Adam was a resident of Marshall Manor Nursing Home and formerly of the Asbury community. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a devoted member of Asbury Methodist Church in Albertville, Alabama. Known for his love of farming, gardening, and just plain hard work of any kind, Adam enjoyed life and loved playing practical jokes on people.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Louise Medlock England; his son and daughter-in-law, Terrell and Roslyn England; granddaughters Ashley (Richey) McCulloch and Hannah (Ben) Davis; and four cherished great-grandchildren, Adam McCulloch, Andrew McCulloch, Ellie Davis, and Mittie Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Wilburn, William “Pinky,” and James England, as well as Mabel Jo King, Maggie Daniel, and Will Fowler.
Funeral services will be held at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 pm.
Pallbearers will include Richey McCulloch, Adam McCulloch, Ben Davis, Brandon Tidmore, Ricky Daniel, and Chris Lindsay. Services will be officiated by Rev. Mark Adams, with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens in Geraldine, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury Methodist Church, 3177 Asbury Road, Albertville, AL 35951, or Marshall Manor Nursing Home, Activities Department, or a charity of your choice.
Adam will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
