RUSSELLVILLE – A Vina man is free on bail after allegedly raping two under-age girls.

Jerry Lee Davis, 56, of Vina was arrested for rape, sexual abuse and contributing to the deliquency of a minor. The children are two female, underage victims, both from Mississippi. The girls were friends of Davis’s niece. They were visiting the home to ride four-wheelers and spend a fun weekend with friends. But Police say Davis gave the girls alcohol and took sexual advantage of them.  Along with another adult in the home where the rape allegedly took place, there were two other children that Deputies say were unharmed.

Franklin County Investigator Jason Holcolmbe said, “On Friday he got them drunk and made one of the girls touch his privates and fondle him. On Saturday the other girl passed out in the bathroom. Davis picked her up from the bathroom floor and took her to his bedroom and attempted to rape her, but she fought him off.

Davis is out on bail of $75,000.
