Naomi Gibson  A. Naomi Gibson, 93, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Monday, July 1, 2024, at her residence. Naomi was of the Nazarene faith and had attended Fairview Community Church in Iuka for the last decade. She was an exemplary woman with a strong faith that she lived by every day, was a loving wife to her late husband, and was a great mother to her children. She took pride in making sure her family and home were cared for. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening and canning. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Shelby Joslin; her son, George Gibson; her grandchildren, Holly Wells, Crystal Joslin, Sarah Jane Gibson, and Erin Gibson; eight great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gibson; her daughter, Dawn Marie Gibson; her parents, Era and Warren Cook; her sister, Cleo Conkle; and her brother, Arther Cook. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Memorials may be made in Naomi’s honor to the Fairview Community Church.
