Ms. Penny Woods, age 59, passed away late Tuesday at her home in Wildersville. She was born August 26, 1963 in Lexington to the late Junior and Velma Hardin. She was an employee of FRS in Lexington and loved to go fishing and spend time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Hardin. Survivors include her companion for 20 years, Guy Buddy Walker; her son, Brandon Woods (Amanda); two daughters, Katie Porter (Kevin) and Allison Morris (Chris); three brothers, Chris Hardin, Dale Hardin, and Elmer Scott (Brenda); two sisters, Patricia Maness and Charlotte Grant (Mickey); five grandchildren, Allison Woods, Brantley Woods, Ryleigh McPeake, Jerry McPeake, and Bonnie Porter; and one great grandchild, Rozlynn Johnson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, March 30, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 3 – 9 PM and on Thursday, 9 AM – 2 PM.
