Wanda Renee Yancey Wanda Renee Yancey, age 83 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away July 11, 2022 at North Alabama Medical Center. She was a retired teacher having taught 27 years and was a member of First Baptist Church Haleyville, AL.

Husband, Larry K. Yancey

Children, Tammy Renee Sherrill (Wade) of Phil Campbell; Terri Kay Finley (Mark) of Haleyville; Janet Bennett (Keith) of Boaz.

Sisters, Maron Frederick (Eugene) of Hodges and Judy Barksdale of Hamilton

Grandchildren – Brad Bennett (Stephanie), Kyle Bennett (Lacy), Molly Finley (Chase), Maggie Finley Thomas (Kyle), and Grace Berlin White (Tom).

Great Grandchildren – Bradyn, Sage ,and Casen Bennett; Lexie, Beau, and Hadley Jane Bennett; Matthew Martin and Millie Kate Finley; and baby girl White.

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Clint and Carrie Lawler; Grandsons, Matthew Finley and Bailey Berlin; Brother, Pete Lawler; Sisters, Fannie Ellen Brumley (Freeman), Ophelia Skinner (Colen), Georgia McCleskey (Duren), Martella Penton (Van), Leatrice Ramsey (Ed), Marley Vickery (Oscar), Jean Jones (Casey), Faye Brumley (Jerrel), and Peggy Palmer (Clyde).

Wanda was a family oriented Christian Mother and Gran. She also was an avid bridge and Rook player. She loved traveling and taking trips with her many friends. Most of all, she loved her church where she was an active member. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Nathan Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Tree Cemetery, Hackleburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Harvest of Hope Ministries at First Baptist Church in Haleyville.
