William Lee Shrader, Jr., 71, of Huntsville passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital. Billy was born in Birmingham, AL to the late William Lee Shrader, Sr. and Betty Patterson Shrader. He graduated from Huntsville School in 1968 and Athens State College with a business degree.
Survivors include his sister, Cathie Shrader Hope (David) of Killen, AL; niece, Lauren Hope Hodges (Johnathon); great nephews, Paden and Baker Hodges, all of Killen; stepmother, Julie Shrader; and step sister Rosalyn Moore, both of Gainesville, FL. He was also preceded in death by great nephew, Cooper Hodges.
Billy loved his family and especially his cat, “Kitty”. He had the biggest heart for others and was especially kind to everyone he met. He was deeply loved by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 17 at Maple Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Huntsville Hospital for their excellent emergency care.
Memorials may be made to any animal shelter or the Humane Society.
