Doris June Taylor passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home in Pulaski, TN. She was born on October 18, 1937 in Pulaski, Tennessee and was 83 years old.
Doris was a loving wife and mother. She loved to fish, enjoyed quilting and making crafts. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she always was involved in the church’s activities. Doris loved flowers and enjoyed her flower gardens.
Visitation for Doris Taylor will be held on Friday April 9, 2021 from 4:00pm -7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 1:00pm Saturday, April 10, 2021, at New Providence Cemetery with Bro. Larry Thomas officiating.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents Otis Virgil and Ethel Irene Gowan Pierce. Husband John P Taylor. Sons, Randy & Ronnie Vernon. Stepsons, Charles Taylor and John Taylor. Step daughters Martha Farley and Lounne Taylor. Brothers Larry Pierce and Roger Pierce.
Doris is survived by, Son, Wayne (Pee Wee) Taylor of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Stepson, Gary Richard Taylor of piedmont, Alabama.
Stepdaughter, Rosemary Braizer of Gadston, Alabama.
Brothers, Wendell Pierce and Ricky (Melissa) Pierce of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survived.
Special friends, Peggy Malone, Doug and Faye Workman, and Jim and Norma Flickinger.
