Does your firearm show its age?   Does it need a touch up?   Do you have the hankering for a customized finish?  Well, one way to do this is to have your firearm refinished in Duracoat.  Duracoat is a patented finish product manufactured by Lauer Weapons Company in Chippawea Falls, Wisconsin.

What is Duracoat.  Duracoat is 2 part spray chemical finish specifically designed for firearms.  It can also be utilized on other metal surfaces such as knife blades.  It can make old, pitted, worn firearms look brand new.  Prep work on the firearm before is the most important part of the process.  It is tedious work that determines how your product is going to come out.

Duracoat is offered in various colors and patterns.  There catalog and website shows the various colors and pattern that can be done.  Now, here is the big part.  If you are going to get your firearm Duracoated, make sure that he person doing it is a Certified Duracoat Specialist.  To become one of those, you have to go to the factory in Chippawea Falls, Wisconsin.  There is nowhere else to get certified.

We sent Anthony Davis to th Duracoat Factory two years ago.  The cost after airfare, rental car, hotel, food, etc is around $3,000.00.  However it is well worth it.  Anthony is the only Certified Duracoat Finisher in the State of Alabama except for a gentleman in Mobile.  By having your firearm refinished by a certified member, you get a 100% warranty.

Once Duracoat is put on your firearm, it starts to bond.  It cures in 30 days.  The longer it stays on, the harder it gets.  It is even self-lubricant.  It stands up to the harshness of the weather, cleaning solvents as well as everyday use.  Anthony can even put your name on your firearm.
