Oma Dee Harris lived in Hyatt for 93 years. She passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Diversicare of Boaz.

Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Horton. Bro Glen Pankey will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Harris, Brent Harris, Danny Blackwell, Tommy Whitehead, Jeremy Maddox, and Jonathan Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Jarvis and Neal Sims.

Oma Dee is preceded in death by her parents; Ray and Suzie Harris, her brothers; Arvil Harris, Wayne Harris and E.J. Harris, and her sister; Nancy Sims.

She is survived by her brothers; L. C. “Bill” Harris, Leon Harris, Roy Harris and Joe Harris and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her love was shown in many different ways. She was known for the large delicious homemade meals she prepared for her family. Her specialty was a wide variety of wild game, including a ground hog roast. Every year she would have a garden and would can many different vegetables. Everyone loved her pickles.
Arrangements are entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
