Paul Evans Shirley, 96, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Josh Shirley and Scott Underwood officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.
Paul was a native of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas, and a longtime resident of Muscle Shoals. He retired from Ford Motor company and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraye Shirley; daughter, Paula Underwood Owen; parents, Otis and Stella Shirley; brother, Leon Shirley; and sister, Joyce McTigue.
Paul is survived by his son, Jim Shirley (Joanne); grandchildren, Scott Underwood (Teri Lynne), Greg Underwood (Jessie), Josh Shirley (Amanda), and Jordan Shirley (Meagan); and great-grandchildren, Casiday Aday (Alex); Greer, Bauer, and Samuel Underwood; Harper, Hope, and Hannah Shirley; and Lyla Kate, Hudson, and Caroline Shirley.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Shirley, Greg Underwood, Bauer Underwood, Gene Balentine, Alex Aday, and Matt Wimberly.
