Troy Poe Oscar Troy Poe, Jr., 87, of Fort Payne, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at his home. He was born May 24, 1936 in DeKalb County, Alabama to the late Oscar Troy Poe, Sr. and Geneva Lyons Poe. Mr. Poe was a faithful member of Minvale Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Minvale Baptist Church with Rev. John Keefe officiating and eulogy given by granddaughter Tiffany Garrett Cummins. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. hour of service.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Ernestine Goza Poe; daughters Tina Sauls (Randy) and Troyce Garrett (Randy); sons Lance Poe (Kim) and Landy Poe (Heather); sister Patricia Keefe (John); brothers Wilburn Poe and Jerry Poe (Joyce); grandchildren Tiffany and Ryan Cummins, Heath and Katie Garrett, Landon Poe, Dallas and Kellie Poe, Ryan and Brittany Sauls, and Trevor and Jacy Sauls; and great-grandchildren Anderson, Bradley and Garrett Cummins, Hunter Poe, Elijah and Brantley Garrett, and Ella Blake Poe.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Geneva Poe, brother Bastel Poe, and sisters Helen McDonald and Codene Bearden.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements
