Stanley Allen Terry, 64, of Florence passed from this life surrounded by his loving family Saturday, December 22, 2012, at his residence.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 12-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel, with Bro. Garry Gooch officiating. Burial will be at Jacksonburg Cemetery.
Mr. Terry proudly served in the Marine Corps. He was a life long self-employed painter and construction worker. Stanley was a classic car enthusiast and had many special friends he had met through car shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louie A. and Wanda Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Sherry Cabler Terry; two daughters Rebecca Ruth Porter (Jeremy) and Jessica Beth Hopson (Eric); two sisters Crispin Lynn Terry (Jimmy) and Sybil Kimbrough (Harold D.); sixteen nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Oliver, Tyler Oliver, Jeremy Odom, Jim Weatherbee, Jr., Dwight Frye, Jeff Hall, Marc Mobley, and Coach Mike Lane.
Special thanks to Dr. Kalliath and staff at the Blood and Cancer Center, Dr. Mike Mitchell, Dr. Marcus Mobley and staff, Dr. Robert Webb and staff, Hospice of Tennessee Valley Staff, with a special thank you to Jeff Hornbuckle.
