Grace Kiel Smith, 93, of Tuscumbia, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in the Colbert Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence. Officiating will be Rev. Gary McAbee and Rev. Seth Hood.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hilda Kiel; two brothers, Richard and Merwin Kiel; and one sister, Viola Grace Kiel.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 74 years, Malcolm Smith; son, Larry Smith (Joy) of Ohio; daughter, Joyce Clark, of Tuscumbia; two grandchildren, Edee McAbee (Gary) of North Carolina, and Emily Potter (Phil) of Ohio; four grandchildren, Ryan McAbee, Molly McAbee, Phillip Potter, and Hannah Potter.

Pallbearers will be Ryan McAbee, Verlon Kiel, Glen Kiel, Gerald Kiel, Gary Glaze, and Wayman Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Colbert Heights. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by many.
