43 grill: A restaurant review

A friend of my recently suggested eating at the 43 Grill located in Russellville. I had not heard of it but when they told me where it was, I remember the building. There has been a Ponderosa as well as a Mexican Restaurant there before. I was interested in seeing how the food was. I read reviews on the internet of the place and they were good reviews.

We met on a Tuesday night at 6:30PM. The restaurant was a little crowded. We were seated promptly. We ordered our drinks which were brought shortly thereafter. Looking over the menu, I observed that they offer everything from Burgers to pasta to steaks. I ordered a New York Strip with baked potato and my friend ordered Chicken Alfredo. Of course I had to have cheese sticks.

The cheese sticks came first. There were 6 sticks on the plate. We shared the sticks. The sticks were a little dry but overall l had a good taste. Our entrees came just as we finished the sticks. Both meals looked well prepared and appeasing to the eye. The New York Strip was not as thick as I am use to but longer. Could it have been butterflied?

Now to the real test. I bit into my steak. It was great. They had cooked it well done which is how I ordered it. There was still a good flavor while still being cooked throughout. The baked potato was perfect. Not over or under cooked. Texas Toast rounded out my meal. Let me stop here for a moment. I love Texas Toast. It just adds the proper ending to a meal.

I did try my friend’s Chicken Alfredo. It had a light tasting Alfredo sauce. The Chicken was tender and juicy. For me, I would have liked a little more Alfredo sauce but I would order this the next time that I visited the restaurant.

The restaurant overall is big. It has a lot of room for table without feeling cramped. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The waitress was courteous and came around checking on us several times.

Overall, I was impressed by the 43 Grill. I would recommend to everyone to give it a try. So with that being said, let’s get to the rating system. I would rate the 43 Grill 4 cheese sticks out of 5.
