3rd Annual Women’s Leadership Symposium

ATHENS-Athens State University’s Center for Lifelong Learning is pleased to announce our 3rd Annual Women’s Leadership Symposium on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Dynetics Solutions Complex in Huntsville.  The theme for this year’s symposium is  “Honoring Women Who Serve” – and we have an amazing panel of guest speakers including our featured keynote speaker, Dr. Carolyn McKinstry (author and survivor of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church Bombing of 1963).

The panel also includes Cathy Dickens, Senior VP, Business Management from COLSA Corporation; Lisa Williams, Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs of America; Jackie Warner, Co-Owner of “The Bridge” Community Outreach Center; Rebekah Davis, Archivist, Limestone County Archives; and LTC Jenna T. Guerrero, Active Military and Highly Decorated U.S.Veteran. 

  The Leadership Symposium will also offer opportunities for large-group “break-out” sessions.   Symposium Initiatives: To recognize our region’s professional women, promote their continued growth and development across multiple disciplines, offer opportunities for the enhancement of individual leadership qualities, and provide vision in continuing to cultivate strong and effective women leaders.
