Herman King, 79, of Lexington, AL, passed away July 13, 2012 after an extended illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a retired body shop repairman, and enjoyed playing bluegrass music at nursing homes and community centers.

He is survived by his wife Lucille Coats King; daughter,Darlene Stevenson; brother,Robert King; sisters, Dessie Roach, Levele Owens, Alice Sincock and Earline Roden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilford Dudley and Delphia Sleedy Thigpen King.

Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steven Hovater officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery.
