FLORENCE-The 27th Annual Urban Forestry and Horticulture Conference will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 8:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. and on Thursday, October 12, 2023 the Pesticide Recertification Class will be held. All events will be held at the Cross Point Church of Christ located at 1350 Cox Creek Parkway in Florence.
The theme of this year’s event is “Designing & Sustaining Landscapes.” The Keynote speaker is Dr. John F. Kvach, the Executive Director of Singing River Trail. Early registration cost is $50.00 and includes lunch.
In addition, recertification classes for Green Industry Professionals will be held on Thursday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants can receive recertification points and CEUs.
The Public is invited. On-site late registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the cost is $55.00.
The Conference is sponsored by the City of Florence Mayor and City Council, the Florence Beautification Board, the Florence Tree Commission, and the City’s Urban Forestry/Horticultural Department.
