DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department has been working a case of Child Endangerment since March 27, 2015. Here is how the Decatur Police describe the investigation:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On March 27th, 2015, Kristin Nichole Milliken gave birth to a baby boy at Decatur Morgan Hospital. At the time of the infant’s birth, he tested positive for opiates. A joint investigation was conducted by the Morgan County Department of Human Resources as well as the Decatur Police Department.
At the conclusion of the investigation it was determined that Kristin had taken Dilauded and Hydrocodone APAP without a prescription, fully aware that she was pregnant at the time.
On April 29th, 2015, Det. Selby De Leon obtained a warrant for Kristin’s arrest for the charge of Chemical Endangerment of a Child.
On May 4th, 2015, 2015, Kristin turned herself into the Decatur Police Department. She was taken to the Decatur City Jail, where she was booked in on the warrant.
Kristin was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500.00 bond.
It is unknown at this time if the child will suffer any long term effects or disabilities as a result of the drug exposure.”
