Evelyn M. Lohmann – Obituary

Mrs. Evelyn M. Lohmann, 99, passed away at her home in Ooltewah, Tennessee with her family near. She was a former resident of Cumberland Heights and Madison, Tennessee. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 18, 1915 to Merrill and Bessie Bower Smith who preceded her in death along with her husband, Melvin Lohmann; grandchildren, Leslie D. Taylor and Infant baby Lohmann; brothers, Cecil, Harold, Johnny Eugene and Raymond Smith. She was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-Day Adventist Church and had been a member of the Cumberland Heights SDA Church. Mrs. Lohmann was a LPN, taught music and served as church organist for over 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Nadene A. (Jeff) Taylor, Cleveland, TN; sons, Ronald R. (Kay) Mohr, McDonald, TN,

Terry G. (Sandra) Lohmann, Chattanooga, TN; step-daughter, Myrna Games, Hemet, California sister, Janeene “Jeri” Smith, Burbank, California; brother, Jack (Elizabeth) Culver, Celina, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones and Pastor Jim Herman officiating with burial to follow in the Cumberland Heights Cemetery.
